Aravind Prabhu Law Scholarship
Shri Aravind Prabhu is a beacon of perseverance and determination, exemplifying the transformative power of education. Despite facing immense challenges from a young age, he pursued his thirst for knowledge attending evening schools after long workdays to complete his 10th and 12th grades. His determination saw him through his twenties, where he continued his studies and ultimately earned a graduate degree at the age of 31 .
Driven by an unyielding desire to succeed, Aravind Prabhu realized his dream of becoming a lawyer while supporting his wife and three young sons. His remarkable journey, enthusiastically supported by his wife Smt. Shalini Prabhu, is a testament to his belief that resilience and hard work can overcome any obstacle.
Shri Aravind Prabhu instilled these values of hard work and dedication in his sons, Ajay, Ajit, and Avinash, who despite their humble beginnings in Kannada medium government schools went on to achieve great success. Ajay and Ajit pursued engineering, later completing their PHD and master’s degrees respectively, in the United States. Avinash became a successful eye surgeon in the UK. Ajit Prabhu went on to build Quest Global, a leading engineering services company, while Ajay played a pivotal role in its growth. Their accomplishments are a living testament to their father’s belief that education is the best path to success.
The Prabhu Family Charitable Trust continues this legacy by providing higher education opportunities to underprivileged students from Karnataka, India, to pursue Bachelor of Law Degrees from Chanakya University (Bangalore), JSS Sakri Law College (Hubli), and SDM Law College (Mangalore) all of which are in Karnataka. We place special emphasis on assisting orphans, ensuring they have access to accredited institutions and the chance to build better futures. Our expectation from beneficiaries is to “pay it forward” helping the future generations. Through this cycle of empowerment and generosity, we aim to create lasting societal change.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Nationality: Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
2. Enrolment: Must be enrolled or enrolling in any year of LLB degree course at the selected law institute in Karnataka.
3. Academic Performance:
o Minimum 60% in Class X and XII board examinations.
o Minimum 60% in graduation.
4. Income: Annual family income should not exceed INR 6,00,000 from all sources.
5. To continue the scholarships , the students should keep scoring a minimum of 60% in each successive year and submit a fresh application every year

3. Deserving candidates should prepare the required documents and write a note on their eligibility and career goals.`
